Nederland Texas Quiet Neighborhoods Great Schools Beautiful Parks Modern Community Nederland's heritage is deeply rooted in the Dutch ancestry which gives the town its name. Nederland was officially placed on the map on December 24, 1897. It was an adventuresome spirit and desire for a better life which originally brought Dutch settlers to this site in 1897. That same spirit is found today in this friendly town of an estimated population of 17,500 citizens which is easily accessed by Highways 69, 96 and 287. It is conveniently located off 1-10, between Beaumont and Port Arthur. Welcome to Jasper Texas Jasper is truly a wonderful place to live or visit! John Bevil first settled into the picturesque hills and pineywoods of East Texas in the early 1800's. Originally named Bevilport, Bevil opted to rename the county for a Revolutionary War Hero, Sergeant William Jasper. Jasper County was one of the 23 original counties when Texas became a republic in 1836. Still thriving over 150 years later, Jasper is a bustling community of 8,600 residents with a total of 30,000 living in the county. Timber, tourism, and oil & gas are the staples of the economy making Jasper a study of contrasts. It manages to maintain its wonderful small town ambiance while keeping up with progress of the 21st century. A quaint turn-of-the century downtown, with a healthy business community, Jasper is the market center for this part of Deep East Texas. The beautiful forests and pristine lakes, along with friendly people, add to the charm of Jasper, making it.. The Lure of East Texas.

Winnie, Texas is an oasis between the metropolitan areas of Houston, Galveston, and Beaumont/ Port Arthur. As you drive beyond the towering skyscenes of Houston or the refinery specked horizons of the Golden Triangle, Winnie rises from the horizon amidst rice fields and cattle. The unincorporated town, with a population of roughly 5,000, has thrived over the past few years because of a combination of factors including a neighborly atmosphere and central location. Winnie is situated at the intersection of State Highways 124, 73 and Interstate 10, making the town an ideal location for industrial and business development, with easy access for distribution to many cities. Travelers to Galveston and the Bolivar Peninsula often stop in Winnie on their way to the beach.
